Privacy
Short version: we collect what we need to post you a story, and nothing we would be embarrassed to explain.

Who we are
Slowburn Story Club [legal entity and address]. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Membership details. Name, postal address, email, and payment status. We need these to post your installments and to tell you when they are on their way. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our systems.
- Newsletter. Your email address, if you ask us to keep you posted. You can leave with the link in any email.
- Website analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. It records page views and clicks without cookies and without identifying you. Data stays on our own server.
- Correspondence. Emails and letters you send us, kept as long as needed to answer them.
Who we share it with
Our payment provider, our email provider, and the postal service. Each only receives what it needs. We do not sell or rent personal data.
How long we keep it
Membership records for as long as you are a member and for six years afterwards where tax law requires it. Newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). Email [email protected] and we will act within a month.
